Forensic P2P includes the ability to lookup the geographic coordinates of a given IP address. With this capability, you can filter your search results based on location. For example, you can only show search results within 50, 100, 150, or X miles of your location, or only show search results in your state. There are two geolocating databases available:

MaxMind GeoLite City

This is the geolocating database that comes free with Forensic P2P. It is "over 99.3% on a country level and 76% on a city level for the US within a 25 mile radius."

MaxMind GeoIP City

This database operates exactly like the MaxMind GeoLite City database that comes with Forensic P2P, but the MaxMind GeoIP City database has better accuracy. It's accuracy is "over 99.8% on a country level and 81% on a city level for the US within a 25 mile radius." Please contact us if you wish to purchase the MaxMind GeoIP City database.
